The Chelsea 281GGFJP-G8RK or 281GGFJPG8RK is a 281 Series hydraulically shifted hot-shift power take-off engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. The series carries a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and delivers output power of 56+ HP (51+ kW). Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring seal configuration for improved clamp load, and an 80% thicker clutch-pack steel disc to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance conflicts, and an optional wet spline lubrication configuration extends shaft life 7 to 10 times.
