The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 281GGFJR-B5RY or 281GGFJRB5RY, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly used on Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. The 281 Series is an evolution of Chelsea's top-selling 280 Series, carrying forward the same mounting footprint while adding meaningful structural and sealing upgrades. A ductile iron bearing cap replaces the gray iron unit for a 117% strength increase, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load and resists the vibrational stress common in modern engine designs. The clutch pack features steel discs that are 80% thicker than those in the predecessor series. Nine speed ratios are available, and the hose is included with the assembly.
