281GGFJR-D5XD Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series PTO Assembly 281GGFJR-D5XD or 281GGFJRD5XD is a hydraulically shifted, hot-shift power take-off built for 10-bolt automatic transmission apertures commonly found on Allison applications. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, introducing a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap that improves clamp load and reduces vibrational effects caused by modern engine designs. The clutch pack steel discs are 80% thicker than the predecessor design to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications. Rotatable cast iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) is included to protect driven equipment, and SmartStart is available to reduce shock load at start-up. Call us to confirm proper fit for your application.
