The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GGFJW-K5RK or 281GGFJWK5RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. It delivers a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft and covers nine speed ratios spanning low and high ranges. The 281 Series is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap, and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disk design to resist premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference clearance issues, and a Positive Stop feature on driveline outputs eliminates oil seal damage from coupling. A Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and SmartStart options are available for added drivetrain protection.
