281GKFJP-B5BV Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off 281GKFJP-B5BV or 281GKFJPB5BV is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, commonly found on Allison transmissions. The 281 Series is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, adding a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an 80% thicker steel clutch-pack disk to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference at the pump, and a Positive Stop on driveline outputs prevents oil seal damage. The Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times. SmartStart reduces start-up shock load, and Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
