The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKFJP-G3RK or 281GKFJPG3RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. This series is a direct evolution of the 280 Series, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc design, and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to reduce vibrational effects and improve clamp load. Nine speed ratios covering low and high ranges make it adaptable across fire and rescue, refuse, pumper/cleaner, and truck crane applications. Rotatable cast-iron flanges cut interference clearance issues, and a Positive Stop driveline output eliminates oil seal damage from coupling.
