The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GKFJP-S3RK or 281GKFJPS3RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar applications. Evolved from the proven 280 Series, the 281 brings meaningful mechanical upgrades: a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce vibration, and clutch pack steel disks increased 80% in thickness to resist premature wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed demands. A wet spline lubrication option extends shaft life by 7 to 10 times. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce interference at pump mounting.
