The Chelsea 281GMKVP-B5RK or 281GMKVPB5RK is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) hot-shift PTO from the Chelsea 281 Series, designed for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture - commonly Allison transmissions. The 281 Series carries a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and delivers nine speed ratios spanning low through high range. Key construction upgrades over earlier Chelsea designs include a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap for improved clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with 80% thicker steel discs to resist premature tooth wear.
