The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GPFJP-K5XD or 281GPFJPK5XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. This unit carries a 37/35 gear ratio and is built around an evolution of the proven 280 Series platform. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, the clutch pack uses steel discs 80% thicker than the prior generation, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibrational effects from modern engine designs. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges. Common markets include fire and rescue, refuse, pumper cleaner, and truck crane applications.
