The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GTFJP-K5XD or 281GTFJPK5XD, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. The 281 Series is an evolution of the 280 Series, carrying a continuous torque rating of 390 lb-ft (529 Nm) and output power of 56+ HP. Nine speed ratios span low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an 80% thicker clutch pack steel disc resists premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference, and the Wet Spline Lubrication option delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life.
