The Chelsea 281GSFJP-K5XV or 281GSFJPK5XV is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) Power Take-Off Assembly from the Chelsea 281 Series, engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture - commonly Allison applications. It mounts to the 10-bolt opening and offers nine speed ratios covering both low and high ranges. The ductile iron bearing cap is 117% stronger than gray iron, and an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap improves clamp load while reducing vibrational effects from modern engine designs. The clutch pack uses steel discs that are 80% thicker than the predecessor 280 Series, resisting premature tooth wear. Rotatable cast-iron flanges reduce pump clearance interference. Available with a Wet Spline lubrication option for 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) and SmartStart are included.
