The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GSFJP-K8RK or 281GSFJPK8RK, is a hydraulically shifted (PowerShift) PTO built for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar transmissions. An evolution of the 280 Series, the 281 Series features a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron, an O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load, and an enhanced clutch pack with steel discs 80% thicker than the prior generation. Nine speed ratios cover both low- and high-speed applications. Output options include SAE B and SAE C pump flanges, ISO 7652 pump flanges, and driveline configurations. Wet Spline lubrication provides 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. The 281 Series targets fire and rescue, truck cranes, pumper cleaner, and refuse applications.
