The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GTFJW-B5RZ or 281GTFJWB5RZ, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO engineered for automatic transmissions with a 10-bolt aperture, including Allison and Caterpillar units. The 281 Series is the evolved successor to the widely used 280 Series, with a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and resist vibrational wear from modern engine designs. The clutch pack features steel discs 80% thicker than its predecessor to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high ranges, and a Wet Spline Lubrication option extends shaft life 7 to 10 times over standard configurations.
