The Chelsea 282GBAJX-A5XD or 282GBAJXA5XD is a medium-duty hot shift Power Take-Off assembly from the Chelsea 282 Series, one of the most versatile PTOs in its class. This 8-bolt mount unit supports both pneumatic and hydraulic (PowerShift) shift options and is rated for intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. The 282 Series features nine speed ratios and eighteen shift configurations, plus rotatable flanges for flexible installation. Applications include aerial equipment, towing and recovery, construction, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery. An optional Wet-Spline output extends pump shaft life. The Chelsea 282 Series represents a redesign of Chelsea's medium-duty hot shift PTO lineup, incorporating the best elements of the 238 Series alongside upgraded internal components. The 282 Series is used across aerial, construction, towing and recovery, water truck, and home fuel oil delivery truck markets. The Wet-Spline option reduces wear on the PTO and pump shaft interface, while a positive stop on driveshaft outputs helps prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes.
