The 282 Series supports intermittent torque ratings from 201 to 300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) and mounts via an 8-bolt pattern. Shift options include pneumatic and hydraulic (PowerShift), and the series offers nine speed ratios across eighteen shift configurations. Output shaft options in this series include a 1-1/4" round shaft with 5/16" key and a 1" round shaft with 1/4" key. The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot shift PTO platform, incorporating the best features of the 238 Series alongside upgraded moving parts rated to handle up to 300 lb-ft continuously. Direct mount configurations offer optional Wet-Spline technology for extended PTO and pump shaft service life. Driveshaft output versions include a positive stop to prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The integral air valve and rotatable flanges give the installer flexibility across a range of truck chassis configurations.
