The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off, part number 282XBAJX-A5XD or 282XBAJXA5XD, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot-shift PTO rated for up to 300 lb-ft of continuous torque and up to 300 lb-ft intermittent (401-500 Nm). It accepts pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic) engagement and mounts to transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible manufacturers. The 1-1/4" round output shaft uses a 5/16" key. Shaft power output reaches 57 HP (43 kW) at 1,000 RPM and 29 HP (21 kW) at 500 RPM. Common applications for the 282 Series include aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery.
