The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XCAJX-A5RK or 282XCAJXA5RK, is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO built for continuous-duty operation. The 8-bolt mounting configuration fits transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a 5/16" key. Shift actuation is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic). The 282 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (401-500 Nm) and a continuous torque rating up to 300 lb-ft (407 Nm, subject to application-specific de-rating). Shaft power output reaches 57 HP (43 kW) at 1,000 RPM. Typical applications include aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery.
