The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 282XCAJX-V3XD or 282XCAJXV3XD, is an 8-bolt medium-duty hot-shift PTO rated for up to 300 lb-ft of continuous torque and 201-300 lb-ft intermittent (401-500 Nm). The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with a 5/16" key. Shift options include pneumatic and PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic). The unit delivers 29 HP at 500 RPM and 57 HP at 1,000 RPM (21 kW and 43 kW respectively), with output power in the 56+ HP range. Rotatable flanges allow flexible installation orientation. The direct-mount configuration supports an optional Wet-Spline interface for longer service life on the PTO and pump shaft. A Smart Start option is available for applications requiring high-torque engagement. Typical markets include aerial work platforms, construction equipment, water drilling, towing and recovery, and fuel oil delivery trucks.
