The Chelsea 282XDDAX-15XD or 282XDDAX15XD is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO assembly from the Chelsea 282 Series, designed for continuous-duty operation. The 8-bolt mounting configuration fits transmissions from Allison, Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manufacturers. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with a 5/16" keyway. Shift is pneumatic or PowerShift (pneumatic/hydraulic), with an integral air valve built in. The series handles up to 300 lb-ft of intermittent torque and is rated for continuous-duty use at that same load. Shaft power output is 57 HP at 1,000 RPM. Common applications include aerial, construction equipment, towing and recovery, water trucks, and fuel oil delivery trucks. Available from Pro Gear and Transmission.
