The Chelsea 282 Series Power Take-Off, part number 282XGDAX-A5RB or 282XGDAXA5RB, is a medium-duty hot-shift PTO built on an 8-bolt mounting pattern. The 282 Series supports both pneumatic and hydraulic (PowerShift) shift options and delivers up to 300 lb-ft of intermittent torque, with output shaft options including a 1-1/4" round shaft with 5/16" key or a 1" round shaft with 1/4" key. The series covers nine speed ratios and eighteen shift configurations, making it adaptable across aerial, construction, towing and recovery, water truck, and fuel oil delivery applications. The Chelsea 282 Series was developed as a redesign of the medium-duty hot-shift PTO line, combining proven components from the 238 Series with upgraded moving parts rated for continuous or intermittent duty. A positive stop on driveshaft outputs helps prevent seal damage from driveshaft yokes. The Smart Start option is available for high-torque start-up applications.
