281GSFJP-E3RK Chelsea PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 281 Series Power Take-Off, part number 281GSFJP-E3RK or 281GSFJPE3RK, is a hydraulically shifted hot-shift PTO designed for 10-bolt automatic transmissions, primarily Allison and Caterpillar applications. This series is an evolution of the Chelsea 280 Series, featuring a ductile iron bearing cap rated 117% stronger than gray iron and an o-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap to improve clamp load and reduce vibrational effects from modern engine designs. The clutch pack uses steel discs 80% thicker than the predecessor design to resist premature tooth wear. Nine speed ratios cover both low and high-speed requirements, and the optional wet spline lubrication delivers 7 to 10 times greater shaft life. SmartStart reduces shock load at engagement, and the Electronic Overspeed Control (EOC) protects driven equipment.
