The Chelsea 288GBFJP-M8XD or 288GBFJPM8XD is a heavy-duty, constant mesh power take-off from Chelsea's 288 Series, built on the 10-bolt mounting platform. The 288 Series delivers a single, continuous duty torque rating of up to 390 lb-ft, with nine available speed ratios covering both low and high ranges. The cast iron housing and ductile iron bearing caps, 117% stronger than gray iron, form the structural backbone of this unit. An O-ring sealing configuration between the housing and bearing cap reduces vibrational effects and improves clamp load. The standard output shaft includes a positive stop feature to prevent oil seal damage from driveline couplings. The 288 Series replaces Chelsea's earlier 287 Series PTO.
