The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GFAHX-A3GF or 489GFAHXA3GF, mounts directly to 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton Fuller, Mack, Tremec, and Eaton Endurant transmissions without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing is rated for 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, the same torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM through a 1-1/4" round output shaft with keyway. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capacity. The kit-style design and internal parts shared with the 442 Series make this unit straightforward to service in the field.
