The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GFAHX-A5RA or 489GFAHXA5RA, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed for manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift is wire/cable mechanical, with an electric-over-air option available. Output power ranges from 46 to 55 HP (31 to 40 kW), and shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft is available with keyway. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
