The one-piece cast iron housing bolts straight to the transmission without an adapter plate, removing a common leak path. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM.
