The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489GLAHX-P3XK or 489GLAHXP3XK, bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on some installations, reducing potential leak paths. This unit shifts via wire/cable mechanical actuation and carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) for the series, with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Internal components are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, and the unit accepts pressure lube (P) or no-pressure lube (X) configurations.
