The Chelsea 489GLITX-A5RB or 489GLITXA5RB is a 489 Series Power Take-Off assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating an extra potential leak path. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a key, and the series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range, with a characteristic rating of 250 lb-ft. Shaft power runs 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, which simplifies bench service.
