The 489 Series carries an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) and delivers up to 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Shift actuation is air shift. Compatible transmissions include Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO aperture. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability, and internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series.
