The Chelsea 489GRITX-A3GF or 489GRITXA3GF is a 489 Series power take-off assembly built for 8-bolt manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the adapter plate that is a common leak source on other designs. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm), with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft is available with a keyway. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capacity.
