The Chelsea 489 Series PTO Assembly, part number 489GSAHX-A5XQ or 489GSAHXA5XQ, is a wire/cable mechanical shift unit built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission face, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series delivers the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series, with tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round design. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Compatible transmissions include Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others with an 8-bolt aperture.
