The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489GSAHX-W3XD or 489GSAHXW3XD, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and others. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM via a 1-1/4" round output shaft. Intermittent torque capacity for the 489 Series reaches 250 lb-ft, on par with the Chelsea 442 Series. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load capacity.
