The one-piece cast iron housing delivers the same 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity as the Chelsea 442 Series. Output shaft is 1-1/4" round with key. Wire/cable mechanical shift is standard on this unit, with an electric-over-air shift option also available in the 489 Series. Shaft power output reaches 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load capacity. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, making bench service straightforward.
