The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XCAHX-A5GZ or 489XCAHXA5GZ, is an 8-bolt mount PTO assembly for manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, removing the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with key. The 489 Series shares internal parts with the Chelsea 442 Series and uses tapered bearings rather than needle bearings for greater load-bearing capacity. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
