The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XCAHX-M3XQ or 489XCAHXM3XQ, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible transmissions. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate that creates an added leak path. The 489 Series delivers 250 lb-ft intermittent torque - the same capacity as the 442 Series - with tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for improved load-bearing capability. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying service.
