The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XCITX-H3XQ or 489XCITXH3XQ, is a wire/cable mechanical-shift PTO designed for 8-bolt manual transmission openings. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission aperture, eliminating the adapter plate required on older designs and removing a potential leak path. The 489 Series delivers 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, matching the capacity of the Chelsea 442 Series, and uses tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. At 500 RPM the unit produces 24 HP; at 1,000 RPM output reaches 48 HP.
