The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XFAHX-A3SQ or 489XFAHXA3SQ, mounts directly to 8-bolt transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible manual transmissions. Its one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate required on older designs, reducing potential leak paths and installation time. The 489 Series uses tapered bearings in place of needle bearings for greater load capacity, and delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range (250 lb-ft; verify on Chelsea application pages). Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration. Shaft power is rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series.
