The Chelsea 489XHITX-V3XD or 489XHITXV3XD is a 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt PTO mounting aperture, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. Its one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a potential leak path. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft (with key), rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Intermittent torque capacity matches the 489 Series rating of 250 lb-ft. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series. Sold by Pro Gear and Transmission.
