The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XLITX-V3AF or 489XLITXV3AF, mounts directly to the 8-bolt opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec, without an adapter plate. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path common on older designs. This unit uses a wire/cable mechanical shift and delivers up to 250 lb-ft intermittent torque, with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The 1-1/4" round output shaft accepts a key. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity.
