The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XQAHX-A5GH or 489XQAHXA5GH, uses a one-piece cast iron housing that bolts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec. Shift actuation on this unit is wire/cable mechanical. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with keyway option, rated for intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range (check application pages for the actual torque rating for your configuration). Shaft power is 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability, and internal parts are shared with the Chelsea 442 Series.
