The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XQITX-A5XD or 489XQITXA5XD, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO designed for manual transmissions with an 8-bolt mounting aperture, including Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and Tremec applications. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. The 489 Series shares the same torque capacity as the 442 Series, with an intermittent torque rating of 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm) at the series level. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with keyway. Shaft power output measures 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM.
