The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XRITX-A5GK or 489XRITXA5GK, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO built for 8-bolt transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible manual transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round (with key option), and the series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range. Shaft power runs 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series.
