The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XRITX-M5XK or 489XRITXM5XK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec models. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, reducing potential leak paths compared to multi-piece designs. Shift is accomplished via wire/cable mechanical actuation, with an electric-over-air shift option also available in the 489 Series. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM, scaling to 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Internal parts share commonality with the Chelsea 442 Series.
