The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XSAHX-V3GA or 489XSAHXV3GA, is a wire/cable mechanical shift PTO designed for 8-bolt manual transmission openings on Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and other compatible transmissions. The one-piece cast iron housing bolts directly to the 8-bolt aperture, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with keyway. The 489 Series delivers the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), with shaft power rated at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Internal components are common to the 442 Series, simplifying parts sourcing.
