The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XSAHX-V3GF or 489XSAHXV3GF, is an 8-bolt PTO designed for most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and Tremec. The one-piece cast iron housing mounts directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening, eliminating the need for an adapter plate and reducing potential leak paths. Shift type is wire/cable mechanical, with an electric-over-air shift option available. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. The 489 Series delivers the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, with up to 48 HP shaft power at 1,000 RPM. Internal parts are common to the 442 Series, simplifying repair inventory.
