The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XSAHX-W3GF or 489XSAHXW3GF, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly designed to bolt directly to the 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions, including Eaton Fuller, Mack, and Tremec models. Its one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a common leak path. This unit shifts via wire/cable mechanical actuation and also supports an electric-over-air shift option. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft (with key). The 489 Series shares its 250 lb-ft intermittent torque capacity and internal components with the Chelsea 442 Series, while adding tapered bearings for greater load-bearing capability compared to needle-bearing designs.
