489XSEVX-A4XD Chelsea 489 Series PTO Assembly

The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off, part number 489XSEVX-A4XD or 489XSEVXA4XD, is an 8-bolt PTO assembly built around a one-piece cast iron housing that mounts directly to the transmission opening without an adapter plate, eliminating a common leak path. The series carries an intermittent torque rating of 250 lb-ft (339 Nm) and delivers shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft with key. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The 489 Series fits manual transmissions from Eaton Fuller, Volvo/Mack, Tremec, and others. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for improved load capacity, and internal parts are shared with the Chelsea 442 Series for easier parts sourcing.
