The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489XUAHX-V3XQ or 489XUAHXV3XQ, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton/Fuller, Volvo/Mack, and others. The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a potential leak path while delivering the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series. Output is a 1-1/4" round shaft (with key), driven by wire/cable mechanical shift. Shaft power rates at 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1000 RPM, with output power in the 46-55 HP range. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Applications include utility trucks, dump trucks, aerial equipment, and snow and ice removal.
