The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the need for an adapter plate, removing a common leak path compared to bolted adapter designs. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round configuration with key. Intermittent torque rating for the 489 Series is 201-300 lb-ft (301-400 Nm); continuous-duty applications require a 30% de-rate per Chelsea application data.
