The one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate found on earlier designs, reducing potential leak paths and cutting installation time. This unit delivers the same intermittent torque capacity as the 442 Series, rated at 250 lb-ft (339 Nm), with shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM and 48 HP at 1,000 RPM. The output shaft is a 1-1/4" round with keyway. Shift is wire/cable mechanical. Tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load capacity. Common 442 Series internal parts simplify service.
