The Chelsea 489 Series Power Take-Off Assembly, part number 489ZHDAX-A5GK or 489ZHDAXA5GK, mounts directly to an 8-bolt transmission opening on most manual transmissions including Eaton Fuller, Volvo, Mack, and Tremec without an adapter plate. The integral one-piece cast iron housing eliminates the adapter plate leak path common to other PTO designs. Output is through a 1-1/4" round shaft (with key) driven by wire/cable mechanical shift. The 489 Series delivers intermittent torque in the 201-300 lb-ft range and shaft power of 24 HP at 500 RPM or 48 HP at 1000 RPM. Strong tapered bearings replace needle bearings for greater load-bearing capability. Internal parts are common to the Chelsea 442 Series, simplifying parts stocking.
